Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 5 August 2026

This policy explains how cancellation of jobs and fulfillments works on the Sprint Network platform. It supplements our Terms of Service. For cancellation of your Sprint Network subscription, see the Refund & Billing Policy.

  1. Scope

This policy covers cancellation of shipment jobs recorded on the platform — by the Consignor who created the job, or by a Transporter handing back an accepted job. It describes what the software does on cancellation. The commercial consequences of a cancellation are governed by the contract between the parties, not by Sprint Network (see Section 5).

  2. Who Can Cancel, and When

    1. Consignors may cancel a job they created, up to the point at which the shipment is loaded or in transit.
    2. Transporters may hand back an accepted job before execution begins; the job then returns to the Consignor for reassignment.
    3. Stage limits. Cancellation is not available once a dispatch has progressed past the platform's cut-off stage (for example, once loading or transit has begun), and a delivered job cannot be cancelled. A job already being cancelled cannot be cancelled again.
    4. Only parties to the job (the Consignor, or the assigned Transporter for their own leg) can cancel. Cancellation requests from anyone else are rejected.
    5. Reason required. The person cancelling selects a reason, which is recorded with the cancellation and shared with the counterparty.
  3. What Happens When a Job Is Cancelled

    1. The job and every fulfillment in its chain (including sub-contracted legs) are marked cancelled, with a record of who cancelled and why.
    2. Assigned vehicles and drivers are released, and the related tasks are removed from schedules.
    3. Live tracking for the job stops.
    4. Open spot-market bids, network requests, and pending direct assignments connected to the job are withdrawn — a cancelled job cannot continue to collect offers.
    5. The counterparty (and assigned driver, where applicable) is notified in-app and by email.
    6. The full cancellation trail — timestamps, initiator, reason — remains in the job's audit history and is available in an evidence export (see the Dispute Resolution Policy).
  4. Platform Charges on Cancellation

    1. Sprint Network charges no cancellation fee. Cancelling a job does not trigger any charge from Sprint Network.
    2. Where a subscription plan meters usage (for example, job quotas), the treatment of cancelled jobs against quota is described in the Refund & Billing Policy.
  5. Commercial Consequences Are Between the Parties

    1. Any cancellation charge, detention/halting charge, dead-freight claim, advance refund, or other commercial consequence of a cancellation is a matter of the contract between the Consignor and the Transporter (and their sub-contractors, where applicable).
    2. Sprint Network does not calculate, collect, withhold, or enforce any such amount, and does not decide whether a cancellation was justified. If the parties disagree, the Dispute Resolution Policy applies: Sprint Network provides the records; the parties resolve the dispute between themselves.
    3. Parties are encouraged to state their cancellation and detention terms in their own contracts, rate agreements, or published company policies on the platform.
